*In 2009 - 10, Murray Horn is the only remaining founding member
of the Iqaluit Rotary Club.
The Governor of District 7790 at the time was Louis-Philippe Matte
from the Trois-Rivières Rotary Club which was also our sponsoring
Club. We were officially chartered on September 23, 1978 in the
dining room of the Frobisher Inn. Bryan Pearson, Mayor of Frobisher
Bay at the time gave the welcoming address.
