During the past 5 years, from July 2006 to June 2010, The Rotary Club of Iqaluit and The Rotary Club of Iqaluit Charitable Society contributed over $300,000 to various local and International projects.

In 2010 alone, the Club contributed over $100,000 to these projects, including the organization of a fund raising event for Haiti relief, resulting in a contribution of $40,000 to that project.

With the help of donations from community members, the Club has organized and funded recurring events such as the Elder’s Dinner for approximately $10,000 per year; the Christmas Basket program for approximately $20,000 per year, Start Right/Stay Right for approximately $3,000 per year and $1,500 donated annually to the Crisis Line. Other annual local projects include bursaries and awards for local students.

The Club has also funded specific projects throughout the years, such as a $30,000 contribution over a three year period to Habitat for Humanity Iqaluit and contributions to Rotary International for their Polio Plus campaign.

"The Rotary Club of Iqaluit enjoys a current membership of 44 active club members. These Rotary members come from many diverse backgrounds and work in various local businesses, municipal agencies and territorial government departments here in Iqaluit. Despite the diverse back grounds of all of our Rotary Club membership, we are all united by one common bond; working together for the betterment of the residents and community of Iqaluit through many non-profit community orientated initiatives."
