Dinner with our District Governor, Katie Burke

On Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 approximately thirty members and guests gathered at the Frobisher Inn to meet our District Governor, Katie Burke. The fellowship was enjoyable; the food was good; it was a fun evening. Katie, a retired school principal, entertained us with a well prepared and delivered speech, which had three main themes: the importance of the individual Rotarian to the community, the role that Rotary plays in the international arena and the magic of Rotary.

Two new members, Heather Fanjoy and Bernie D. Schmidt, were welcomed to our club by President Victor.

And in closing, special mention must be given to our Sargeant, Murray, who entertained us throughout the evening and then fined most of us. Thank you Murray
